This is the artist's edition of a poster created by David Edward Byrd at Prince's request. Prince liked an earlier Jimi Hendrix poster by David and wanted a similar one made.
It promoted an after hours performance at the DNA Lounge following a performance at the Oakland Coliseum in 2013.
These artist proofs are new, made in small batches, annotated, and hand-signed in pencil by David. The dates on posters in jpgs are not necessarily the dates you will get.

Prince asked David to create this poster in the image of a poster David almost didn't release, an early proposed image for Jimi Hendrix' Fillmore East debut In 1968. Hendrix rejected one of David's designs because it didn't include the whole band. David sat on the rejected sketches for decades and only a few years ago decided to release the original, unseen print. You can find it in my store.
Prince saw David's Hendrix masterpiece and wanted a similar one made with his own visage for an after-hours appearance at the DNA Lounge following an Oakland Coliseum performance.
