vintage antique Adult tricycle 1880,s. Here is what I know about this tricycle. I bought the two 42 inch rear wheels and axles with Victor like bearing, one 18 inch front wheel, fork, axle, and fender, and two pedals connected to arms with chain purchased on ebay. The owner had no idea as to where the rest was or what it looked like. I have spent over 10 years contacting collectors in the US, Europe and Australia to find anyone that recognizes these parts. So far no one has been able to help so I decided to make the rest of the parts and get this tricycle back on the road, The finished trike is 40 inches wide and 80 inches long, it is a two track design with rack and pinion steering. The drive mechanism is similar to the American Star but uses chain instead of leather, as one pedal goes down the other goes up. New rubber tires, paint and nickle plating.
